SHOP RE-OPENING SOON!

When You Miss Your Own Deadline

I owe y’all a recap from this post, I'm Back In The Ring! .

Two Fridays came and went. I promised I’d post Friday updates tracking my progress on what I’m building. What’s working, and what’s not. But, I didn’t keep that promise. I missed both Fridays.

I sat with that thought for a second. Normally I'd go straight to feeling disappointed In myself. “There you go not being consistent.”

Something is different this time:
I thought about the things I actually got done over the two weeks, and I've actually accomplished a few tasks on my list. Most importantly, I still showed up.

I realize, missing the post doesn’t mean that I lost my momentum. (Although, it does mean that I mentioned I was going to do something and didn't follow up on it.) I won't do that again, but I will have grace with myself.

So, my biggest lesson in this is–plan better.

So here I am...checking in on a Monday, but still showing up. And that matters.

Here we go:

          _______

________

Showing up late is better than disappearing altogether. But here's a life lesson: show up early. What the older folks say?"Early is on time, on time is late" Just thought I'd throw that in there.

Anyways, I’m still in this. Still rebuilding. Still pushing. And if you are too, I hope you stay with it.

If you’ve started your own rebuild journey and already missed a few steps, this is your sign to keep going. Show up later and messy if you have to. Just don’t stop showing up. We’re not aiming for aesthetic progress. We’re aiming for real growth.

We don’t grow by being perfect. We grow by not quitting.

Peace.
