Why I'm Not Starting Over in 2026: The Discipline of Continuation

I don't think growth necessarily requires reinvention all the time. You don't need a fresh start when you trust the path you're already on. There's a misconception that if something doesn't happen yet, it's time to start over, change direction, or abandon it. (And yes, sometimes the latter is true dependent of the situation).

The people who shape movements don't start from scratch every January for the sake of a New Year. They take what they've survived and learned into the New Year and continue building. They refuse to abandon what's meaningful just because it hasn't bloomed yet.

I'm in a season where I know the blooming hasn't happened yet, and I know that doesn't mean it won't. I think it's important to recognize when something just hasn't happened yet and when something will never be. Abandoning my desires, the preparation, and the faith I've carried overtime because the outcome hasn't arrived yet is doing a disservice. It's a disservice to my vision, and to the version of me who has done the work thus far. There's so much wisdom gained when you build using the insight you've learned along the way.

You must refuse to let unfinished chapters convince you that your story isn't worth continuing. 👈🏾 This is a message especially to the youth out there who can't see ahead, and fall victim to their present circumstances.

Sometimes Unfinished Means Forming.

2026 may not require a reinvention from you, although I'm sure for some of you it does. But I want to point out what matters most and will impact your New Year greatly: Loyalty and Consistency. Restraint from what's not good for you. Your willingness to keep going when it would be easier to just rebrand yourself with a "new beginning."

Not everything needs to be reset to be restored. Sometimes it just needs time and patience. Know this: Your roots are being planted deeply and your blooming is on the way any day now.

I wish you all an amazing 2026.

Peace.
